Former Swift executive Tom Zschach has launched Logos, a US-based start-up providing a digital asset evidence layer. The firm aims to help financial institutions conduct more business using stablecoins and tokenized assets.

The company debuted at the Money20/20 USA conference in Las Vegas. It provides a shared evidence network that institutions access through an API.

Streamlining Asset Verification

The network allows firms to check signed evidence against their internal policies. This process generates a recommendation to either accept or reject an asset, supported by proof.

The founder noted that lenders often need to verify if an asset is acceptable as collateral. Custodians must also understand the specific obligations and rights they’re servicing.

He stated that current workflows often require gathering information separately for every single relationship. The venture makes that underlying evidence reusable while letting each firm keep control of its decisions.

The company’s focus includes reserve evidence to help firms assess stablecoin backing. It also handles fund evidence regarding investor rights, custody, eligibility, and redemption terms for tokenized funds.

This shift toward a shared evidence model suggests a move away from fragmented, manual due diligence. If widely adopted, such a system could standardize how institutional risk is measured across different digital asset classes. It might reduce the friction currently hindering large-scale adoption by traditional banks.

The firm also provides continuous monitoring. This identifies changes in covered evidence so institutions can reassess decisions under their own policies.

Strategic Partnerships and Seed Funding

The start-up is working with two design partners. Paysend is collaborating on stablecoins and cross-border payments, while Securitize focuses on securities and tokenized funds.

Securitize is also a shareholder in the venture. The company received seed funding from VanEck and ParaFi, along with other strategic investors.

The CEO did not share the valuation or the total amount raised. He mentioned the funds supported initial deployments and product development.

The leadership team consists of Zschach as CEO and Anthony Rose as CTO. Rose previously served as CTO at Matter Labs and held an engineering lead role at SpaceX.

The executive believes AI and programmable assets allow a small team to build a consequential company quickly. He argues this removes the need for a massive budget or a large headcount.

The company is currently transitioning from testnet to production with a small group of institutions. The goal is to achieve faster onboarding and less repeated diligence.

This approach should make more assets available for payments or custody. The CEO expects the first production workflows to be active by early 2027.

He believes the network becomes more useful as more participants join and build on existing evidence.
