Aroa Biosurgery boosts wound care team

Aroa Biosurgery has appointed two senior commercial leaders to strengthen its position in the advanced wound healing market.
The New Zealand-based company named Michael Lynskey as chief commercial officer and Mike Falcon as general manager of U.S. commercial operations. The appointments will support expansion of its Myriad and Symphony product lines, along with its AROA extracellular matrix (ECM) technology.
Leadership appointments target U.S. expansion
Lynskey will direct global commercial strategy as part of Aroa’s executive team. His background includes over two decades in advanced wound care, most recently at Smith+Nephew, where he held senior global roles for 11 years.
Falcon will manage the company’s U.S. commercial operations, a critical growth area. He previously spent a decade at LifeNet Health, leading initiatives in wound healing and biologics.
Aroa CEO Brian Ward stated that both leaders bring valuable market development experience. Their roles will enhance the company’s ability to execute its growth strategy in the U.S. and beyond.
The company has expanded its commercial team to capitalize on what it described as a recent market reset that has increased the opportunity for Symphony, its outpatient product. Aroa’s technology relies on an ECM bioscaffold made from sheep forestomach tissue, which has been used in over 7 million medical procedures worldwide.
Growth strategy follows market momentum
Aroa’s products aim to improve healing in complex wounds and soft tissue reconstruction. In the U.S., the company sells its devices through a direct sales team and a partnership with TELABio.
These leadership changes reflect efforts to strengthen its presence in the wound care sector. The U.S. remains a key focus as the company seeks to expand its technology’s reach.
For healthcare providers and patients, this could mean access to Aroa’s ECM-based treatments, which are already used in various surgical and wound care procedures. The technology’s widespread use across multiple specialties may help drive adoption.
The company’s shares trade on the Australian Securities Exchange under the ticker ARX.
