First Citizens Bank has formed a partnership with NCR Atleos to provide surcharge-free ATM access at more than 2,000 Target stores nationwide. Under the arrangement, customers can withdraw cash, review account balances, and conduct fund transfers without incurring extra fees at these locations. The initiative builds on the bank’s existing network of fee-free cash access points, including branches and other ATMs.

Customers will simply use their debit cards at Target’s ATMs to perform basic banking tasks. This development supports First Citizens’ strategy of enhancing convenience, ensuring clients can access financial services both in-store and through digital or branch-based channels. Michael Wilson, the bank’s Head of Wealth and Consumer Banking, emphasized that in-store availability strengthens the overall customer experience by integrating seamlessly with other service options.

The bank’s decision follows its ongoing efforts to improve accessibility for clients. Customers can easily locate surcharge-free ATMs via the bank’s website or mobile application.
