Mandiri Utama Finance (MUF) provided compensation of IDR 15 million to 50 female students at the Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School for Disabled KH Ahmad Lutfi Fathullah assisted by Baznas Bazis.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Mandiri Utama Finance (MUF) provided compensation of IDR 15 million to 50 students at the Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School with Disabilities KH Ahmad Lutfi Fathullah. This activity is a form of collaboration between MUF and Baznas (Bazis) DKI Jakarta in order to help female students fulfill their basic needs to live a more decent and dignified life.
This event was held at the first Islamic boarding school for the deaf in DKI Jakarta and the second Islamic boarding school for the deaf in Indonesia, after the Darul Ashom Islamic boarding school for the deaf in Yogyakarta.
Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Baznas (Bazis) Collection Division, Ahmad Sholih, expressed his gratitude to MUF for participating in distributing funds to students at the Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School with Disabilities, KH Ahmad Lutfi Fathullah. “We are very grateful that MUF provided donations to the female students here. “Because, for them (Santriwati) they really need help,” said Abubakar in his speech,
He further explained that the presence of the Tahfidz Disabled Islamic Boarding School was motivated by the basic needs of deaf disabled people who had been having difficulty getting religious learning using their language approach.
“For this reason, it is mandatory for institutions that manage zakat, infaq and alms funds such as Baznas to provide basic rights to deaf people with disabilities,” said Akhmad.
For information, the Tahfidz Disabled Islamic Boarding School is a special Islamic boarding school for female students which was developed from the DKI Jakarta Baznas (Bazis) empowerment program. Apart from being a place to gain knowledge for female students with disabilities, the Tahfidz Disabled Islamic Boarding School is also a training center for Disabled Tahfidz teachers Baznas (Bazis) DKI Jakarta Province
At the end of his speech, Ahmad said that the female students were very enthusiastic when they found out that the MUF team would visit the KH Tahfidz Disabled Islamic Boarding School. Corporate Secretary & Legal Deputy Division Head Mandiri Utama Finance, Elisabeth L Sirait also expressed her hope that this compensation would be useful for students with disabilities in getting quality education. “So that in the future these female students with disabilities can realize all the dreams they hope for,” he said.
